I Have Something Important to Share
All that really exists is this present moment. Past and future exist only in the form of thought.
Hello friends,
How are you?
It’s post mid-night and typing this newsletter. I realized that I haven’t written this week’s newsletter. I felt this is important for you to know.
Last weekend, my depression creeped in and it stayed with me for 3 days. At this time I am okay and able to write this newsletter.
It’s evidence that my inner warrior queen still exists, still rises up whenever I need her.
I usually don’t talk about this aspect of my life here. But now as we have a personal bond together, I thought of sharing. Because it’s important.
During those 3 days I learned, independence sometimes extracts a price. We can become hardened. We learn to live without the expectation of camaraderie or assistance of another’s mercy or compassion.
Sometimes, I wonder if I’m even capable of asking for help anymore — or receiving it if it’s offered.
And I’m happy to become more self-sufficient. It makes me feel good to know that I can handle what comes my way.
I might not be fully prepared for such situations, but I’ve got me.
Mental Health Matters
I want to let you know that mental health is important as important as your physical health.
There may be subtle signs that you go thru with— depression, anxiety or may be anxiousness.
One thing that you can do it accept that feeling and say loudly- yes your emotions and feelings are valid and you are allowed to feel that way.
Take as much as time you need to heal and recover. Don’t hesitate to take a break from work or from your daily chores. It’s okay if you want to pause, do it and restart when you are ready.
There’s one choice everyone has— through the ups and lows - and that will be to have an absolute ball. Choose fun no matter what and embrace the ups and downs of what comes ahead of you.
It’s a shame that rest is looked down upon. Resting = Laziness. How horrible is that?
You’re not a machine. You’re human. Your brain and body thrive after you rest. You’re meant to take breaks to perform better. Better work and health comes from resting, not from working more!
So whoever needs to hear this, don’t forget to take enough breaks and don’t give yourself a hard time for taking them.
It’s nearly 2 am now, and I’m sorry for the overly long newsletter. And now, let’s pretend like nobody got a little crazy post-midnight.
