Lesson 3: 5 Step Process to Create Your *First* Content Piece
And It's not going to cost you anything.
Hi there,
Hope you are doing awesome.
If you want to recap, below posts can help you.
Lesson 2: How To Start Your Side Hustle
Lesson 1: Why To Build Your Online Brand Today
I’m excited for today’s lesson and let me help you create your FIRST content piece.
Let’s go….
#1 Have a schedule
I don’t mean a content calendar but a rough schedule of how often to publish and where. It makes you disciplined and helps you show up.
Put half and hour of time in your day and think through what you want to create.
It’s not super hard. Inspiration is all around you.
#2 Create a process that works for you
I don’t write and edit at the same time.
I just add topics I want to write in my notebook and on weekends, I pick one and two to write about it. Edits, I usually do in the morning to chop out unnecessary write ups.
It doesn’t need to be perfect. You can edit out the portions anytime.
#3 Put up your ideas where you can see them
When you get an idea, put it on notes and see it later.
You can use phone Notes app, a Google Docs, or simply a notebook. It will help you when you are running out of ideas.
#4 Limit your distractions
My major distraction is phone. I keep my phone in Focus mode when writing and also stopped unnecessary notifications.
Spend your free time on the weekday or weekends doing better things than mindlessly scrolling your phone and various social media platforms. After all, it eats your finite time rather quickly!
#5 Have fun and enjoy the process
Lastly don’t caught up with numbers, views, and perfection.
Have Fun and live your life. Best creative ideas comes from living not wondering behind a laptop/phone screen.
And having fun in the process helps you show up even when things aren’t going your way.
The only reason I write and share with y’all is because I genuinely enjoy it. It's fun when things are more ‘play’ and less ‘work’.
Hope it’s going to help you create your content without getting you overwhelmed.
Hit reply and share if you find it useful.
Thank you for reading. I will see you next week with yet another lesson.
Take care and have a lovely week. 🙂
Love,
Ankita
