#08: From Limitations to Possibilities: How a Reframed Mindset Transforms Writing Online
Bad days comes but you hang on to it.
Hello friend,
Welcome to this week’s edition of Part-time Creator newsletter.
Today, I am going to talk about rewriting the narrative and embracing a reframed mindset you need to start writing online.
Some days doesn’t start good.
Everything feels like breaking.
You sit for hours in front of a laptop, and words doesn’t come out.
You don’t need any spark.
Everything feels like waste of time, money, and energy.
Something like that the sun will never shine again.
When you start writing online, seems like the worst idea I could possible have.
That all you are physically capable of is to hide away, under the duvet and sink into Netflix.
If you’re feeling like that, read this.
Learn your patterns
Everything has a pattern as long as you stick long enough to see this.
We all are bound to do similar things again and again.
When I walk on trails, I see the tracks that people before me left.
That let’s me think, this is the right away to go.
Now, let’s think of those tracks are thoughts.
Those tracks represent your thought patterns.
Let’s start with something new.
Accept that failing is okay
My biggest fear is to settle down in ruts and routines.
And then becoming frustrated with everything I do.
I fought a lot with this feeling.
Mostly because, you’ve been here before, you’ve fought it before, and you thought it was a battle you have to win.
You did the work, you got out of it.
But oh no, it’s back.
How?
I’ve been in a rut lately.
And this thought constantly comes, why everything has to be so hard.
I ended up being grumpy, agitated, stressed out, unfocused, negative.
Not a good set of credentials I’ll openly admit.
The first step:
The first step in figuring out how to get out of a rut is accepting that you are in one.
Here’s the truth.
It’s difficult to create on the side.
Being a part-time creator is a battle when you have to do zillions of things by yourself.
The simple solution I found is to reduce expectations and be kind to yourself.
