My name is Ankita Mahawar and I‘m the writer here. I’m in my thirties and I’m finally trying to unearth the woman that lives within me. Like a good little girl, I hid her away most of my life, trying so hard to follow conventional paths. But those efforts got me nowhere.
I was finally able to break out of my cage and discover who I was, on my own terms — as a woman and as a sexual being. And it has been an incredible journey of self-discovery.
I am passionate about Health, Fitness , Well-being and Women Empowerment. And its importance in our daily life.
I work as a Digital Transformation Architect with a consulting firm to make the world a place where technology is evolving every day.
I’ve been here on substack since February 2021, sharing my stories and evolving through my practice of writing.
Each piece is one more step toward wholeness.

I started this publication last year to share my stories. I started this publication with the intention of it being my only one. I wanted to fill it with musings on nature, self care, health, fitness, work-life balance, creativity, and spirituality. It’s a place for people to reconnect with their souls.

It didn’t take me long to realize I had a lot to say and started my weekly newsletter Drthefit and I realized I was healing myself through my writing .
This is a place for me to share my feelings and experiences with feminism, family life, self love, well-being, career and more.
My Personal Life
In the past four years, all on my own, I have moved countries (from India to United States), changed career and started my writing journey. It has been a difficult time, but I’m incredibly proud of what I have accomplished and how far I’ve come.
I found my way all by myself.
When I was a kid, I developed my deep love for reading and writing. I’d get lost in a book for hours. Reliving and replaying it in my mind throughout the day.
A gift that kept on giving.
I spent hours a day listening to any and all kinds of music, really paying attention to how they made me feel. Classical-instrumental piano and old classic retro songs ended up being my favorite. I still heavily rely on music to process my emotions.
Movies were my version of escapism. I didn’t just watch them, I felt them. Falling in love with the characters and the stories they played.
So many hobbies and interests that nurtured high emotions, resilience, and a deeply intuitive means of existence and my own self.
I live in Northeastern region (Life in NYC) of the United States. It’s a nice place to live and I love to take long walks around my neighborhood and to spend time watching and photographing trees and creeks.
All in all, I feel extremely blessed in this life.
