Hello friend,
Welcome to this week’s edition of Part-time Creator newsletter.
Last year, I came across a few creators, and writers how they become role models for many who are starting fairly new.
Here is what I learned:
Have a Growth Mindset
I have been brought up with a mindset that everything in life is a competition and you have to compete to get the greatest thing in life.
People usually talk about a growth mindset as if it’s easy to implement.
But the truth is upgrading your mind-set is the hardest part and lifelong condition you may have with a certain mindset.
It took me years of conscious work to achieve the growth mindset.
I attained this through writing self-affirmation, and gratitude every morning for the last 3 years.
And with this believe that- this world has enough for everyone.
Angela Duckworth in her book Grit talks about how to have a growth mindset and how it directly impact your success.
“A fixed mindset about ability leads to pessimistic explanations of adversity, and that, in turn, leads to both giving up on challenges and avoiding them in the first place. In contrast, a growth mindset leads to optimistic ways of explaining adversity, and that, in turn, leads to perseverance and seeking out new challenges that will ultimately make you even stronger.” ― Angela Duckworth
To cultivate a growth-mindset:
Get to know yourself
Realize that world has infinite possibility
Make use of your strengths
Make Genuine Connections
When someone messages or leaves a comment on my posts, it means the world to me.
I reply to every comment and reply I receive (minus the troll ones), and I encourage everyone I meet to make sure I spread positivity and leave something to think about.
So if you are new in the writing space or for that matter anything you want to create, believe in your ability, and be kind to other people as much as you can.
Jealousy, envy will not help you in the long run. Do this:
Be good to people
Spread positivity through your words and action
Think positive
Share knowledge for free
All of my content so far is free.
I have published two e-books that got 100+ downloads in 30 days without marketing and promotions.
I have seen many online creators give away their knowledge for free through blogs, YouTube videos, e-books, or online courses.
So if you want to help people, it’s okay to share your lessons, and how-to guide for free so that it can help other people the same way it helped you.
My side-hustle newsletter is all about sharing my learnings and experiences as a solopreneur. Do this:
Create a newsletter
Create a digital course to share your expertise
Write an e-book
What do you think? Share in the comments.
That’s all for today.
Hope you love reading this.
Share this newsletter with your friends and anybody you feel would enjoy it.
See you next week.
Have a lovely day❤️
Love,
Ankita
