Hi friend,
I hope your 2023 going well, even if it didn’t, we have a lot of time.
Good things take time. Just like this thought I had.
I woke up yesterday and took up as much space in my bed as I wanted while giving my body a good morning stretch.
I watched the sun rise shadows peeking through my wall to wall glass window.
I scrolled on Instagram and Tik-Tok for awhile.
When I finally sat upright, I put my hair in a bun, I realized I had the entire day ahead of me completely free of plans, obligations, or to-do list items more pressing than doing some dishes and laundry.
I couldn’t remember the last time I’d taken a moment to appreciate the freedom and optimism of something like that.
But I have plenty of memories in fear of it.
But as any other phase in life, when you can keep the focus on certain things, discover your potential and talents, and see yourself become more than what you expect to be.
Allow yourself to surprise yourself.
#1 Following your dream
How many times you may have heard this cliched quote “follow your dreams”
The irony is, it always worked.
Experiment with your current life situation and see where it can lead you.
There is no harm in trying out.
#2 Winning the inner battle
You vs you battle is real.
When you can’t convince yourself of something, win the battle inside you and feed the good wolf.
The fear of failure, rejection are always there and it will never go away.
So why don’t you just start working along with your fears?
#3 Trusting your guts
How many times you tried doing things just to fit in or because other people are doing it.
Start by making minor decisions.
Choose an outfit that calls to you without weighing too many variables.
Taking quick, decisive actions with small consequences gets you comfortable using your guts.
Let me know how it goes in the comments.
