Imagine this:
I was in an important zoom meeting sitting with 10 different highly skilled and senior people.
Most of them were either VP or EVPs. Agenda was vague but I prepared well anyway to contribute substantially in the meeting.
Within 10 minutes in the meeting, everyone forgot about what the meeting was about.
And started whatever the agenda suited to most of them.
I wanted to pitch in and say, we are going off track.
And tried very hard to unmute myself and just say it. I spent 1 hour in the meeting with just 3 people.
Rest were either muted or maybe wondering just like me.
I know how ridiculous this whole thing sounds.
The meeting made me rethink my internal narrative; I can’t even remember the whole 1 hour conversation.
I looked at my notes, there were just some random doodles and strange words I can see.

Turns out, that’s exactly what happened.
I can tell you in exact detail how I felt after that meeting and why it changed everything for me.
The aftermath
As a part-time creator, amidst the busy schedules and numerous responsibilities of daily life, I've realized that there's one thing that truly matters: consistency.
It's tempting to get caught up in the perfection or fret over the need for fancy equipment and extensive editing, what truly sets successful part-time creators apart is their ability to show up, regularly and authentically.
It's not about producing flawless content every time; it's about creating a connection with your audience through a steady stream of content that reflects your genuine self.
Whether it's a:
weekly blog post
a monthly podcast episode
or daily social media updates
Consistency is the golden thread that weaves your creative journey into something remarkable.
It's the commitment to keep going, even when the going gets tough, that can ultimately make the biggest difference in your success as a part-time creator.
The slow shift
You've watched others living their dreams long enough; now, it's your turn to craft your own extraordinary journey.
The truth is, most people are too busy worrying about what people think of them, or what they do.
So instead of worrying about them, recheck your internal narrative on how you speak to yourself and what you say,
However, you're fully aware that unless you break away from the patterns of the past, you'll end up with another year of the same old you, trapped in the comfort of familiarity.
I am an expert in throwing a pity party for myself whenever I lack something.
But it’s changing slowly.
The key to transforming your year lies in making that monumental change, in embracing new challenges and fresh perspectives.
It's time to evolve, grow, and truly seize the year ahead.
It’s the mindset I’ve taken with me into my part-time creator journey.
I’ve learned to silence the inner voices when they don’t serve me.
I’ve learned to audit my mind.
I’ve learned that I’m in control.
